The Story Behind... A Tragic Hero

A long time ago a few little boys that didn't know each other decided to start playing some instruments.  Those boys were Peter Schalaba, Josh Case, and Dan Otis.  Now Peter being very creative decided to play guitar, bass, AND drums.  Dan and Josh on the other hand decided to just be boring and learn guitar.  Josh was way ahead of Dan because he is much older and started a band that is now called Identity N-A.  Dan started to jam with another young laddy named Andrew Stanton and they wanted to try to start a band.  Around this time Dan was entering high school and became better friends with a boy called Tyler Lasky.  Now Tyler didnt know how to play an instrument when he started high school and Dan and Andrew were searching for a person to jam with and play bass.  So about half way through their freshman year Dan mentioned to Tyler that he should start playing the bass and jam with him and Andrew.  Tyler considered it for a while and then his mother finally bought him his first black and white bass!  Andrew, Dan, and Tyler started jamming, writing songs, and looking for a drummer.  After about 8 months they started to get bored and went in their seperate directions.  Dan and Tyler decided to stick together while Andrew went to jam with a fellow friend called Austin.  They started a sweet rock band that is now called Impact (keep a look out for em)!!  Tyler and Dan wanted to get a full band so Tyler asked his neighbor, Josh Case, to play with them.  Josh, being in Identity N-A, wanted to be in a band that played polka also, and that's exactly what Tyler and Dan had in mind.  They played together and wrote 7 songs but still didnt have a drummer.  They played for about 4 months when one day Dan and Tyler were just walking along at Music Warehouse and stumbled along a flyer on a board for a drummer looking for a polka band just like theirs.  Dan called him up and a week later Peter Schalaba was a part of the band.  The band, Make-Shift Routine, was complete...except, not everybody was happy with the name and they were all kind of getting bored with the music.  So one lovely Saturday afternoon they decided to change their music to a mix between pop/punk and technical punk and tried to think of a nifty name.  Spending almost an hour on it and never agreeing on one name they gave up and left it for next week.  Next week rolls around and Josh brings up a new list of some wicked awesome names.  The one that seemed to stick out to every member was "A Tragic Hero".  So three years and a bandmate or two later, the band that consists of Dan, Peter, Tyler, and Josh will forever be known as "A TRAGIC HERO!"
